Region Auditions: Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017
Clear Creek HS

ITINERARY
  • 6:45 am - Meet at SCHS (bus/auditorium side)
  • 7:00 am - Leave SCHS
  • 7:45 am - Arrive at Clear Creek HS
    2305 E. Main St.
    League City, TX 77573
  • ​Register
    • Receive cuts
  • 8:30 am - Cuts are played
    • Auditions begin
    • Students may either be picked up from Clear Creek HS after they sing OR may ride the bus home.
  • 4:00 pm - Departure from Clear Creek HS
    • Could be earlier or later, depending on how auditions run.
  • 4:30 pm - Pick up from SCHS
    • Could be earlier or later, please plan on picking your student up sometime between 2:30-5:00 pm. We will call on our way home from Clear Creek HS.
    • Prompt pick-up, regardless of finishing time, is required.
PACKING LIST
  • Attire: any pants/shorts (appropriate) and your black SCHS choir shirt
  • ​MUSIC (must have ORIGINAL OCTAVOS to audition)
  • Paper clips, highlighters, colored pencils (to mark cuts)
  • Cell phone (will turn into chaperones before you get off the bus)
  • Snacks, water bottle, lunch, money for food
  • Games, homework, books (no electronics), pillow, blanket. Etc.

Broadway Lights Pop Show 2017
Costumes
Costume Check: Thurs. Oct. 12th, 2017
Bring your costumes TO SCHOOL that day (do not wear them) for a grade in class.

  • All Choirs: Another Opening
    • Black pants (jeans ok, as long as they are BLACK, no sweatpants)
    • Black shirt (any style, with sleeves, solid black, no large logos/words)
    • At least ONE gold accessory (can have more if you want)
      • Shoes, jewelry, headband, hat, scarf, tie, etc.
  • All Choirs: Everybody Rejoice
    • Black pants (jeans ok, as long as they are BLACK, no sweatpants)
    • Bright Colored Shirt (any style, with sleeves, solid, no large logos/words)
      • NEON/BRIGHT colors, no primary or neutrals
    • Dark, close-toed shoes (tennis shoes or flats)

  • Coro Triton (1st period): World Will Know
    • Khaki, brown, or black pants or shorts (no cargo)
    • Button down shirt (any color/style)
    • No tennis shoes (dress shoes or loafers)
    • Vest
    • Optional accessories: hats, bandanas, suspenders
  • Coventina (2nd period): I Got You
    • Cheerleading uniform/outfit
    • Workout gear
    • Bright colors
  • Kamohoalli (3rd period): My Shot
    • Khaki pants
    • Vest (any color)
    • White button down shirt
    • Boots or dress shoes with long white socks (any color)
    • Jacket (No black)
  • Kaia Voce (4th period): Waitress Medley
    • Knee length dresses
    • Black closed toed shoes
    • Black accessories (if any)
  • Poseidon Chorale (5th period): Status Quo
    • School clothes, according to your assigned clique/character

  • Astarte (6th period): Hard Knock Life
    • Dirty shirt
    • Overalls  
    • Bandanas
    • Jeans (ugly)
    • Black Pants
    • Soprano (Rag)
    • Alto (Brooms)

GENERAL COSTUME RULES:
  1. For choreography purposes, your costume should be comfortable and easy to move in, and should show NO SKIN when you are dancing.
  2. Shoes can be any color or style, but they must be close-toed—you must be able to dance in them. Ladies, no heels allowed.
  3. Most of these costume items should already be a part of your wardrobe.  Please don’t go out and spend extravagant amounts of money on your pop show costume.  Be creative & borrow things from your friends.
  4. If you show up on the day of the show wearing something inappropriate (too tight, shows skin, etc), the directors will put you in your formal choir attire and you will sing the entire Pop Show in that.
  5. If your costume is not appropriate or the wrong color/style on October 12, you will be responsible for getting a different costume by the dress rehearsal on Oct 25th.
